Alexander Aarøen Pedersen


Alexander is a jazz pianist and has a master in film music at the Pulse College, Dublin. He is commuting between Oslo and Tromsø, as well as working with projects in Los Angeles and Norway.


Alexander has studied piano with Jan Gunnar Hoff, taken lessons in orchestration with Conrad Pope – known from Stars Wars (1-3), Harry Potter (1-2) and Shindler’s list.


In 2018 Alexander received the prestigious Steve Kaplan scholarship ASCAP - based on his work with the Hollywood Studio Orchestra at 20th Century Fox in Los Angeles. 


Alexander composes and arranges music (as a freelance) and writes regularly for The Arctic Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as for artists who need a more advanced arrangement of their music.


As well as composing music, Alexander is a popular pianist, who has played with the Arctic Philarmonic, Jørn Hoel and Jardar Johansen.
